Project Services Lead

This role is a leader within Digital61 responsible for the leadership, development and engagement of the Project Services team. As the head of Project Services, you are responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Project delivery across the company and are able to coordinate complex contract outcomes with our customers.  The Project Services Lead maintains a central view of customer engagements and is able to coordinate multiple teams to ensure successful and high-value outcomes are delivered to our customers.

The Project Services Lead is a strong team player who effectively works at all levels with our customers, acting as a single executive point of contact. The Lead has a strong risk management orientation and is able to balance attention to detail with the overall goals of the engagement and customer. They are experienced at communicating with executives and maintaining ongoing C-level relationships to ensure alignment at all levels of the organization.

Role Description

As the Project Services Lead, you will:

  • Be a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), working with the COO and other ELT members in managing the delivery of customer outcomes

  • Manage Digital61’s Project Managers to establish and communicate clear project goals and baselines against scope and timeline

  • Possess demonstrable leadership skills managing Project Delivery teams

  • Have commercial acumen, financial, budget and resource management skills

  • Demonstrate a sound and well thought out approach to IT risk and governance.

  • Work with technical resources to break down project work, schedule resources, and plan realistic delivery dates.

  • Coordinate the Project Services delivery team to drive project execution, supervise project and service delivery, proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Coordinate between various cross-functional teams, set clear expectations about responsibilities, communicate with stakeholders, and measure success.

  • Play a key role in strategic planning and policy development

  • Maintain channels of communication internally and externally

  • Take responsibility for the Project Services team’s continuous improvement initiatives

  • Contribute to culture and team building

  • Provide oversight and reporting of performance against benchmarks for quality and output

Personal Qualities

The ideal candidate will be Tertiary qualified.  You will bring significant leadership experience and a strong level of IT Project Delivery expertise in leading edge IT environments.

The successful candidate will have previous success creating and maintaining great relationships with customers and be an excellent communicator both written and verbally. You are a highly organised person who can juggle multiple priorities and can still deliver to agreed timelines.

Your ability to evolve solutions in addition to dealing with complex problems/conversations whilst growing strong customer partnerships will be instrumental to your success in the role.  You will need to be an Australian citizen with an Australian Government security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
