This role spans consulting and project delivery, security assessments, ISO 27001 and ISMS work, Australian Government frameworks, security documentation, solution design and pre sales. You will work across the full breadth of our cyber practice rather than being boxed into one lane.
What you will be doing
- Delivering cyber security consulting and advisory engagements for government and enterprise clients
- Conducting security risk assessments and developing practical risk treatment strategies
- Interpreting security frameworks into controls that can actually be implemented
- Providing secure architecture and solution design advice
- Working across the ASD ISM, Essential Eight, PSPF, DISP, DSPF and ISO 27001
- Supporting and maturing Digital61's own ISO 27001 certified ISMS
- Developing security policies, plans and supporting documentation
- Delivering security assurance and compliance activities
- Contributing to proposals, tenders and pre sales engagements
- Working alongside consultants, architects, engineers and the Managed SOC team
- Maintaining threat awareness and building trusted client relationships
About you
- Experience in cyber security consulting, information security, GRC or security assurance
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 27001 and ISMS implementation
- Familiarity with Australian Government security frameworks
- Proven experience running risk assessments and treatment plans
- Ability to design and advise on security controls
- Customer facing delivery experience
- Strong written skills for policy, assessment and advisory documents
- Confident communicating with both technical and executive audiences
- Comfortable managing multiple concurrent engagements
- A pragmatic mindset that balances security outcomes with business reality
Highly regarded
- CISSP, CISM, CRISC or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor
- Prior Australian Government or Defence experience
- DISP and Defence security environment exposure
- SOC or incident response background
- Microsoft 365, Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID and Azure
- Tender response and solution design experience
Security requirement. You must be an Australian citizen and hold a current NV1 or higher security clearance.

This is a hands on leadership role with real influence. You will run the finance function day to day while giving the leadership team the commercial insight it needs to grow the business well.
Key responsibilities
- Leading the day to day finance function and accounting operations
- Preparing monthly financial reports, management reporting, forecasts and year end information
- Managing budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
- Delivering financial analysis and insight to the leadership team
- Maintaining internal controls and compliance with financial delegations
- Overseeing payroll processing and financial administration
- Supporting taxation, accounting standards compliance and external auditors
- Providing commercial reporting and margin analysis for sales and managed services
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks
- Driving continuous improvement across processes, systems and reporting
- Providing leadership and support to finance team members
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
- CA or CPA qualified, or working towards it
- Three to five years as a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, Finance Manager or similar
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis skills
- Experience in professional services, technology, consulting or managed services
- Excellent stakeholder management across the business
- Attention to detail paired with analytical thinking
- Proactive about process and system improvement
Security requirement. You must be an Australian citizen and successfully complete a National Police Check.
