Digital61 Networking

Advanced networking built for modern connectivity

Your network is the fabric everything else runs on. We design, secure and modernise it for cloud, for hybrid work and for Zero Trust, so connectivity stops being the constraint on what the rest of the environment can do.

Secure from edge to core
Trusted across Australian government and enterprise

Capability

What we deliver

We design networks that are cloud optimised, Zero Trust ready, highly available and secured at every layer. The work is delivered by engineers who will still be reachable after handover.

Network architecture and design LAN, WAN, wireless and data centre design built around how your people and applications actually behave, not around the last refresh cycle.
Segmentation and Zero Trust Segmentation and micro segmentation that contains lateral movement, with access decisions made on identity rather than on location.
Cloud and hybrid networking Express routes, virtual WANs and hybrid interconnects that give cloud workloads the performance and the isolation they need.
Secure remote and edge connectivity Secure access for remote sites, remote workers and edge locations, integrated with your identity platform rather than bolted beside it.
Software defined networking SD-WAN, SD-LAN and data centre SDN for centralised policy, faster change and far less manual device by device configuration.
Performance and resilience High availability and disaster recovery design, plus application performance tuning where the network is the bottleneck.

Clients

Who we work with

Network programs look different in each sector. The design discipline does not change, but the drivers and the evidence do.

Public sector
  • Who. Agencies, departments and councils running campus, multi site or data centre connectivity, often across legacy and modern estates at once.
  • Assurance. Designs aligned to the Information Security Manual, the Protective Security Policy Framework and Zero Trust principles, with control mapping supplied.
  • Sovereignty. Australian based design and delivery teams, with security cleared engineers where the environment requires it.
  • Procurement. Delivered through established government panels and arrangements, with the design documentation your gate reviews expect.
  • Evidence. As built documentation, risk registers and handover artefacts written for audit rather than only for the project team.
Private sector
  • Who. Australian mid market and enterprise organisations across professional services, healthcare, financial services and defence industry supply.
  • Pace. Commercial timeframes and staged cutovers, scoped to the outcome rather than to a discovery phase that never ends.
  • Cost. Transparent fixed scope pricing with clear change control, so the budget you approve is the budget you report on.
  • Risk. Segmentation and Zero Trust design that answers the questions insurers and enterprise customers are now asking about lateral movement.
  • Continuity. Optional managed network services after go live by an Australian based team, so capability does not walk out when the project closes.

Common triggers are a multi site rollout, a campus connectivity upgrade, cloud migration readiness, a security uplift program or a resilience and disaster recovery redesign.

Method

How we engage

Every network engagement runs through the same five steps. The assurance stage is where public and private scope diverge.

  1. DiscoverA short paid assessment of the current topology, traffic patterns, constraints and the outcome you actually need. You keep the findings.
  2. DesignA costed target architecture with the security controls, dependencies and risks named up front rather than found mid build.
  3. AssureControl mapping against the frameworks you report to, plus the change, privacy and procurement documentation your governance requires.
  4. DeliverImplementation by the engineers who did the design, with staged cutover, agreed rollback points and plain language progress reporting.
  5. TransitionHandover to your team or to Digital61 managed services, with as built documentation, runbooks and a named contact who knows the environment.

Assurance

Standards and assurance

The same standards underpin every design. Public sector clients need the evidence for their assessors, and private sector clients increasingly need it for their insurers and customers.

Networks are designed to be operated, not just commissioned. Every engagement ends with documentation, monitoring in place and a clear view of who holds which responsibility.
