Digital61 is a Canberra based, Australian SME: a cloud native, systems and security integrator, dedicated to helping Government and Critical National Infrastructure providers unlock the Simplicity, Mobility and Security of cloud.

Managed services

Digital61 simplifies ICT operations, increases user mobility and service quality, and has a strong focus on ICT security. We centre our managed services capability around the Service Desk and End User Compute services.

The Digital61 Managed Services desk is the face of our managed IT service capability, providing a consistent, end-to-end interface for users and service providers. Our Service Desk is client-focussed, providing a seamless integrated service across all ICT services.

Digital61 has been delivering Cloud Centric managed services for Australian Government Agencies since 2019. 

Our Team has decades of experience in designing, implementing, and integrating IT infrastructure: on-premise, cloud native and hybrid environments. We focus on combining these to the benefit of our customers, providing an end to end, plan, build and run capability.

Security Services

Digital61’s security practice is headed by a trained criminologist, cyber security specialist and accredited IRAP assessor, with more than 15 years’ experience.

 In designing security solutions, we focus on easing the access for legitimate users while keeping the information safe from malicious actors. Users should only have access to authorised information from a device and a location which the organisation has defined as safe.

The systems we design follow a security-by-design process ensuring that there is sufficient coverage in the design documentation to allow our security professionals to review and provide feedback on the security configuration of a given system.

Ongoing compliance auditing eliminates configuration drift away from the design settings, ensuring all new settings, which may be exposed through enabling of new capabilities, are adequately assessed, configured and added to the baseline.

 

Project Services

The Digital61 project delivery lifecycle provides a structured, process-based method, for project management. There are four stages in the lifecycle, Start-up, Initiate, Execute and Close, which provide the activities required to plan, manage, and deliver a project successfully. 

The Digital61 project delivery method describes elements within project management that must be addressed continually as the project progresses through its delivery lifecycle.

The six elements (organisation, quality, plan, risk, change and progress) are fully integrated into all four stages of the project lifecycle, providing a structured process and discipline that enables best practice to be followed by the project management team. To ensure the method aligns to industry standards and Government processes, it has been based largely upon the PRINCE2 methodology.
